July 2019: Maya and Honor

Who Are Maya and Honor?

THIS MONTH WE ARE DOING SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT WITH OUR GIVING BACK PROGRAM AND FEATURING A COUPLE OF VERY NEEDY AND WORTHY DOGS WHO DESERVE A LOT OF EXTRA LOVE AND CARE

These beautiful dogs are both being cared for by The Tiny Pitfbull, one of our favorite rescues.

The Tiny Pitbull was created to educate and help the misunderstood breeds. We are 100% donation and foster based rescue, who takes almost any dogs that need us but focus on pitbulls and chihuahuas. We are constantly working to better conditions in shelters and working on shelter reform. In the last 4 years, we have saved over 1800 dogs and counting. We continue to stand for the voiceless and the ones who need us the most.

Maya

  • Maya lived her whole life on a chain. This is not an exaggeration; she was raised on a chain, bred on a chain, gave birth on a chain, raised her puppies on a chain and continued to live on a chain.

  • Tiny Pitbull rescued her and got her off that chain. I don’t know about you but I would expect a dog like that to be angry and anti-social. But not Maya.

  • She is the sweetest girl in the world. She loves all dogs and all people. She is house and crate trained.

  • If you are looking to give all of your love to a beautiful dog, please contact Tiny Pitbull to inquire about Maya.

Honor and Pups

  • The story of Honor and her pups is indeed a heartbreaking one: her owner left a pregnant Honor in a kill-shelter. This shelter neglected to give her basic comforts like blankets, and so Honor gave birth on a cold concrete slab. After giving birth, because it was so cold, she sat on her babies to try and keep them warm.

  • When Tiny Pitbull arrived to take Honor and her babies away from this lousy place, they discovered that 5 of Honor’s sweet puppies had died.

  • Heartbroken, Tiny Pitbull took the rest in and have been working tirelessly to keep the remaining puppies and Honor alive. Mom and pups have all struggled and been very sick.

  • They are in need of medical attention and medication, love, support and care, all of which Tiny Pitbull provides in spades.

  • These pups are in need of your healing, loving thoughts and donations.

  • If you are able, please consider a donation to help make sure Honor and her pups are never unloved, sick or forgotten again.
